Lucknow: Punjab Chamber of Commerce & Industries (PCCI) has appointed renowned film and media personality Dinesh Kumar Sahgal as Chairman of the Film Industry, Entertainment & Media Committee and Investment Committee, U.P. State Council.
Dinesh Kumar Sahgal is a former Deputy Director, Film Bandhu, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Co-Founder of the Indian Films Academy. He is widely recognized for his significant contribution to the promotion of film and media activities in Uttar Pradesh.
Expressing his views on the appointment, PCCI Executive Director R.K. Sharan stated that under the leadership of Dinesh Kumar Sahgal, focused initiatives will be undertaken to promote the growth of the film, entertainment, and media industry, facilitate investments, and strengthen stakeholder engagement among government departments, utilities, industries, and investors. He further expressed confidence that Sahgal’s experience and vision would help the organization achieve new milestones in the film and media sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Dinesh Kumar Sahgal said that his priorities would include building strong coordination among various sectors and creating a robust platform for dialogue, innovation, and sustainable growth in the film and entertainment industry. He emphasized the importance of collaborative development and strengthening public-private partnerships across the country.
Sahgal also expressed gratitude to the organization and stated that he would work dedicatedly towards providing opportunities and platforms for talent in the film, media, and entertainment sectors in Uttar Pradesh, while fostering better coordination between the industry and the government.
